Settings
This page explains each setting and what happens when you turn it on or off.
Open the screen
- Open the MapControl app.
- Touch "Settings" in the side menu. On the home panel, touch the "Settings" shortcut.
Language
- Select "Türkçe" or "English".
- The screen refreshes with the new language.
System startup

| App screen on startup | The app opens the home screen after about 4 seconds. The time can change on each device. | You open the app yourself from the notification or the launcher. |
NOTE: Memory mode needs the background service. Keep "Background service on startup" On.
Floating Back Button
This is a small bar that stays on top of other apps.
- On: The bar shows on the screen.
- Off: The bar is hidden.
How to use the bar:
- Touch the left arrow one time to go back (system Back).
- Touch and hold the left arrow to open the menu. Touch and hold again to close it.
- The bar stays open when you touch the buttons in the menu.
- Drag the bar to move it.

| Map | Opens the cluster screen (starts projection). |
| X | Stops projection. |
| Lightning | Shows the quick actions menu. |
| Double left arrow | Collapses the quick actions menu. |
| Phone | Shows the open apps on display 1. |
| Monitor | Shows the open apps on display 2. |
In the list of open apps, touch an app to force stop it. Touch and hold an app to open its app information.
NOTE: This bar needs the overlay permission. The installer gives this permission.
Vehicle Launcher mode
For details, see Launcher mode.
- On: MapControl opens as a full-screen vehicle panel. The side menu and the status bar are hidden. The panel shows gauges and app shortcuts.
- Off: The app shows the normal tab view with the side menu.
Touch "Change default home app in system settings" to select MapControl as the home app of the car.
Vehicle image
- Go to the vehicle launcher panel.
- Touch the vehicle image.
- Select a model in the list. The list has automatic detection and the installed OEM packages.
- You can also touch "Choose vehicle image" in Settings.
If the app shows "Auto detection on; package not found", select a model from the list.
Yandex → Cluster
- On: The app reads the Yandex Maps guidance. It shows the maneuver and ETA cards on the cluster display during guidance.
- Off: The cluster navigation summary is off.
The MapControl accessibility service must be on. If it is off, the app shows "Enable the MapControl accessibility service first".
The cards do not cover the left quarter of the home screen.
