Web Server

The web server lets you control the car from a phone or a PC. You open a web page on your device. The page has three sections: Files, Open link, and Keyboard.

Requirements

• The car and your device must use the same Wi-Fi network. See Wi-Fi screen.
• Any web browser works on your device.

Start the server

1. Open the MapControl app.
2. Touch "Web management" in the side menu. On the home panel, touch the "Web" shortcut.
3. Touch "▶ Start Web Server".
4. Read the address on the screen. It looks like http://192.168.1.20:7462. The port number is always 7462.
5. A QR code also shows on the screen.

Open the page on your device

1. Option A: Scan the QR code with your phone.
2. Option B: Type the address in the browser of your device.
3. The page "Map Control - Web management" opens.
4. To change the language, touch "TR" or "EN" on the page.

Section: Files

Use this section to send files to the car and to manage apps.

1. Touch "Choose a file or drag it here". Select a file. You can send APK, ZIP, PDF, and other types.
2. Touch "Send". The file goes to the Downloads folder of the car.
3. Wait for the message "File uploaded".

• Uploaded files: This list shows the files on the car. Touch "Install" to install an APK file. Touch "Delete" to delete a file.
• Installed apps: This list shows the apps on the car. Touch "Open" to start an app. Touch "Delete" to remove an app. Map Control shows "Locked". You cannot remove it.
• Touch "Refresh" to update a list.

Section: Open link

1. Type a link in the "Link" box. Example: a web site or a share link.
2. Touch "Open on vehicle".
3. The link opens in the default browser of the car, or in a system app that matches the link.

NOTE: The server accepts http and https links, geo, and google.navigation. The server blocks javascript, file, data, and content.

Section: Keyboard

Use this section to type on the car screen with your phone or PC keyboard.

1. On the car screen, touch a text field. The field must stay in focus.
2. On the web page, type your text in the "Text" box.
3. Touch "Send text (once)". The text goes to the field on the car.

• Live typing: If you select this box, the page sends each change at once. If you type fast, the car receives only the latest text. Clear the box to send text one time.
• The "Global Back" accessibility service of Map Control must be on. See Settings.
• This function can fail on some car screens.

Stop the server

1. Go back to the "Web management" screen.
2. Touch "■ Stop Web Server". The status changes to "Server stopped".
